Time Schedule:

4:00 PM Scratches and Weigh In at the throws area.

4:15 PM: Coaches and Officials Meeting (Finish Line)

4:30 PM: Field Events Start

5:00 PM: Running Events

Arrival: Please do not arrive at the stadium prior to 3:25 as we will have PE classes out on the field.

All team camps will be in the bleachers.

Facilities: Only rubber soled shoes or shoes with spikes not exceeding ¼ inch will be permitted. The shot and discus areas are concrete, so rubber soled shoes only may be worn. No scratch marks of any kind will be allowed. Only chalk, tape, bean bags or half tennis balls may be used. Infield: No one except for officials, coaches, and competitors will be allowed to enter the track area.

Track Markings: White: 100M, 110M Hurdles Start, 200M, 300M Hurdles Start, 300M Hurdle Marks, 400M, 1600M/3200M Waterfall, Common Finish Line Yellow: 4x100M Relay, 4x200M Relay 3rd Exchange Red: 4x200M Relay 1st & 2nd Exchange Blue: 4x400M 1st Exchange, 110M Hurdle Marks Blue: 4x400M 2nd & 3rd Exchange

Locker Facilities: Locker facilities will NOT be provided.

Athletic Trainer: Niles North High School will have an Athletic Trainer on site as well as an AED. Let us know if you need to see an athletic trainer for last minute taping. Please make sure to have your team bring their own supplies if you anticipate this happening.

 Admission: Spectator admission is FREE

Concessions: Concessions will NOT be available

Each school will be allowed 2 entries per event and 1 relay team per event. We will have exhibition races for the 1600m run and 100m dash as well as open shot put, unlimited entries for these.

Long jump, triple jump, shot put and discus will be 4 attempts, no finals.

Triple jump will follow long jump.

Scoring and Results: Individual events, top 6 will score (10-8-6-4-2-1) and top 5 for relays (10-8-6-4-2).

Awards: The 1st place team will receive a plaque. Top 3 individual athletes and relays will receive medals and 4th - 6th will receive ribbons.

Order of Events

Field Events will begin at 4:30 p.m.

● Long Jump 4 Attempts, no Finals. Conducted Cafeteria Style

● Triple Jump 4 Attempts, no Finals, after Long Jump. Conducted cafeteria-style.

● High Jump Starting height determined at coaches meeting. Bar increases by .05m (2”)

● Discus 4 Attempts. Completed before Shot Put.

● Shot Put 4 Attempts, no Finals after Discus.

● Pole Vault Starting height determined at coaches meeting. Bar increases by 0.16m (6”)

Track Event Finals will begin at 5:00pm
