MUSTANG CLASSIC INVITE

May 1, 2026 5:00 FIELD EVENTS 5:45 TRACK EVENTS

 

Participating Teams (8):  Conant, Buffalo Grove, Fremd, Highland Park, Huntley, St. Charles North, Warren, & Rolling Meadows

 

Participation:  Two levels -- Frosh/Soph & Varsity.  Each team is allowed TWO entries per event & one relay per relay event at each level (F/S & Var). Limitations for the individual participation will be according to the IHSA guidelines. Athletes can only participate on one level. 

 

Awards:

Top 6 places on Varsity level will receive a medal. 1st places on F/S will get a medal, while 2nd - 6th will receive a ribbon. 

Top 2 teams on the Frosh/Soph & Varsity levels will earn a champion & runner-up plaque.

Combined Frosh/Soph and Varsity scores will determine the Overall Program Winner.

 

Scoring: Individual ~ 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 Relays  ~  10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

 

TEAM CAMPS:

Please use the visitor bleachers or the grassy areas on either side of the visitor bleachers.

 

ODDS & ENDS

  • Track spikes should be no longer than ¼”.

  • Let's keep everyone clear of the finish line!

  • Track athletes should get hip numbers well before the last call of their race & then be ready to go when called to the line. Hip numbers will be located in the end zone near high jump

 

  • Each school will be asked to provide a coach/worker to run a field event.

  • Athletes should come dressed. There will be no access to the inside of the school. 

 

  • Track Coaches will be assigned an exchange zone for the two short sprint relays.

4:15-5:00 - Coaches check in, make scratches, etc. (coaches meeting @ 4:40)

4:45 - Coaches working field events - grab clip boards, check in athletes @ event
