TEAM CAMPS & COURSE WARM-UP:
Team camps will be in the stadium only – your athletes may use the track and the turf for warm up – the press box announcer will open the turf and the track at certain times to ensure minimal number of athletes on the track and turf (please consult the enclosed time schedule).
There must be at least 30 feet of distance between each team camp and team camp sites must be large enough to allow for social distancing among those in each camp. You may camp in the stands or the grassy areas in the stadium. Hoffman Estates HS personnel will assist in directing where to set up camps.
Athletes in team camps must be under adult supervision at all times – this means one of your assistant coaches must be responsible for your athletes.
Athletes who are waiting to compete or who have already competed must remain in the stadium until they are called by meet management to the starting line for the upcoming race.
Coaches and athletes must wear facial coverings when social distancing is not possible or unless they are doing strenuous activity or competing.
IMPORTANT: During the final girls’ race, all team camps must be “broken down” and the stadium cleared to accommodate the arrival of boys’ teams for the afternoon session.
SPECTATORS:
Spectators may attend the event as long as they maintain social distancing and wear facial covering any time social distancing is not possible.
Spectators are not permitted to enter the stadium at any time.
Spectators may view races from designated areas. These areas include from behind the varsity baseball field fence and behind the roped off area on the west side of campus
Spectators should not remain on campus all day. It is highly recommended spectators come to view a race and then leave campus at the conclusion of that race.
