Facilities: Mel Eide Stadium is an 8 lane track. Only rubber soled shoes or
shoes with spikes not exceeding ¼ inch length will be permitted. The shot and discus areas are concrete, so rubber soled shoes only may be worn. No tape or scratch marks of any kind will be allowed. Chalk, Bean bags or half tennis balls may be used.
Areas for athletes: No one except for officials, coaches, and competitors will be
allowed to enter the track area. Camps will be permitted on the SW corner of the stadium , or in the visitor bleachers. Please have your teams enter through the NE gate (closest to the tennis courts) of the stadium.
Locker Facilities: Locker facilities will NOT be provided.
Admission: Spectator admission will be $5.00.
Concessions: There will be concessions available at the south end of the track. There will also be a coaches’ hospitality room available to the right of concessions at 5:00pm
Events: The order of events is enclosed in the packet. The Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and Discus will be 3 attempt semi’s followed by 3 attempts in finals. Triple Jump will follow Long Jump. Jumpers will have 1 hour to attempt 3 jumps. Weigh-in for Shot Put, and Discus will take place under the home bleachers in the storage garage.
Scoring: Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1 for all individual events. Scoring will be
10-8-6-4-2-1 for all relay events.
Awards: The 1st – 3rd place teams will receive a plaque. Varsity athletes finishing 1st-
8th will receive medals.

High Jump Starting height determined at coaches meeting.
Triple Jump 3 jumps. Top 9 to finals and it follows the Long Jump. Flight 1 on the North Runway, Flight 2 and finals on the South Runway.
Shot Put 3 Attempts. Top 9 to finals. Flight 2 followed by Flight 1. Finals to follow Discus finals.
Discus 3 Attempts. Top 9 to finals. Flight 1 followed by Flight 2. Finals before Shot Put.
Pole Vault Starting height determined at coaches meeting. Measured on the 1’s and 7’s.
