2019 IHSA BOYS’ TRACK & Field

SECTIONAL MEET:                                  

Thursday, May 16th

1:30 P.M.  Coaches Meeting

2:00 P.M. Field Events

3:30 P.M. Track Finals

 

FORMAT: IHSA Meet Structure, event schedule, and rules.

 

TIMING: Fully Automatic Timing (FAT) will be used.

 

TRACK: 8 Lane 400 Meter Mondo Track

 

SPIKES: Maximum ¼ inch PYRAMID SPIKES ONLY.  

 

STARTING BLOCKS Blocks will be provided.

 

SHOTS AND DISCS:  Implements will be weighed at the shed under the spectator stands.  The throwing ring is concrete.

 

PARKING Team buses should drop-off athletes at the Austin Ave entrance. There is a lot further south on Austin Ave they can use or they can return at 3:30 and park in the SOUTH lot of the school. THERE WILL BE NO BUS PARKING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE SCHOOL

 

TEAM AREAS:    Designated team areas are located outside of the track fence to the west and southwest of the track.

LOCKER ROOMS:    Not Available.  Please dress at home.

 

WARMING UP:       Athletes may warm-up on track between events ONLY.

 

TEAM PACKETS:     Packets may be picked up in the shed beneath the west bleachers.

 

SCORING:     10-8-6-4-2-1

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER:   All teams should report to the Sectional meet even if there is inclement weather.  The meet will be held unless the weather imposes a safety hazard to the competitors.

 

ADMISSION:   $5.00- IHSA Sectional price.

CONCESSIONS:     Will be available
