Glenbrook North High School - Northbrook, IL -- Glenbrook North High School Indoor Track
The Central Suburban League, North Division (Varsity & F/S) track meet will be held on Friday,
March 18, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. The following schools have been invited to compete:
Deerfield Maine West
Highland Park Niles North
Maine East Glenbrook North
TRACK:
The track is 10 laps to the metric mile and has a mondo surface. There are 8-42” lanes for the 55 meter hurdles and 50 meter dash events, and five 42” lanes on the oval. Field events will also be contested on mondo surface. NO SPIKES are allowed. Athletes may wear rubber soled/plastic spikes with spikes removed.
AWARDS:
A team trophy will be awarded to the first place finisher on the varsity level. No trophy will be awarded on the F/S level. Medals will be awarded to the top three place winners in the individual events and to members of the top three place winning relay teams on the varsity level. Ribbons will be awarded to places four through six in the individual events and to the members of the fourth and fifth place relay teams on the varsity level.
Ribbons will be awarded to the six place winners in the individual events and to members of the five
place winning relay teams on the F/S level.
A team trophy, medals and ribbons will be presented to teams and coaches immediately upon completion
of the meet. Medals and ribbons will be placed in a packet and given to each head coach.
POINTS:
Scoring in the individual and relay events will be as follows:
1st - 10 points
2nd - 8 points
3rd - 6 points
4th - 4 points
5th - 2 points
6th - 1 point, (0 points for relays)
LOCKER ROOMS:
All teams are to dress at home as we do not have enough locker room facilities to accommodate all the teams involved in the meet.
VALUABLES:
Glenbrook North High School will not be responsible for lost valuables. Each coach and school is asked
to take care of their own valuables.
OTHER INFORMATION:
1. A gym near the fieldhouse will be used for team area. No camps in the fieldhouse.
2. There will be a concessions area available but NO FOOD OR DRINK in the fieldhouse.
3. Please help in keeping athletes and parents away from the finish line area so officials can do their
work efficiently. Also, no spectators are allowed on the infield.
4. For all running events, F/S will run first, followed by Varsity.
