Berk and Rothschild Qualify For IHSA State Meet

Senior David Berk proved that he is one of the top vaulters in the state of Illinois.  He improved his own school record on his way to winning the sectional Pole Vault event by clearing 15'0".  

Senior Ari Rothschild finished in 5th place in the 3200 meter run.  He ran 9:26.2 to beat the qualifying standard for the event.   This time puts Ari at 6th on the HPHS All-Time Top 10 list in this event.

Congratulations to David and Ari.   These two athletes have been the epitome of focus, mental toughness, leadership, and commitment to their events over four years.    They have set a wonderful example for the younger athletes on the team of what you can do if you are determined and willing to put in the hard work.
