YORKVILLE — Mr. Ryan J. Meece, 34, of Yorkville, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at the Dwight United Methodist Church, 701 S. Columbia St., Dwight.
His funeral will be at 4 p.m. at the church, following visitation with Pastor Terry Hennesy officiating.
Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, Dwight.
Born Dec. 28, 1974, in Streator, Ryan was the son of James D. and Sandra K. Marx Meece. They survive in Coal City. He married Trisha Higgs Dec. 29, 2000 in Dieterich, Ill. She survives in Yorkville.
Survivors also include his in laws, Max and Carol Higgs of Effingham; daughter, Kennedy Jordyn Meece, who is one year old; son, Keagan Jeffrey Meece, who is 3 years old; one sister, Danielle (Corey) Casey, Lanesville, Mo; brothers-in-law; Brett (Lynn) Higgs of Dieterich, Troy (Leslie) Higgs of Effingham, Jeff (Leslie) Higgs of St. Louis, Mo.; sisters-in-law, Michelle (Shane) Haslett of Beecher City, Ashley Higgs of Effingham; and grandfather, Andrew Probst.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Delno and Lura Meece, and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Effie Marx.
Ryan was a member of the Oswego Presbyterian Church. He worked as a sales account manager at The Tennant Co. of Minnesota.
He attended school in Gardner and Coal City, graduating in 1993. He then earned a bachelor's degree at Eastern Illinois University.
Ryan was an avid sports fan, athlete and a devoted Daddy. He was the best son anyone could ever have and he was a perfect husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
